New coral species discovered in Galapagos

Three new species of coral, plus a fourth which was believed extinct, have been discovered in an area of reef near the Galapagos Islands. The finding raises the optimism of the scientists on the resistance of these organisms to the temperature rise in the oceans.

Getting To  Isabela Galapagos Island

To travel to the Galapagos you must arrive before the cities of Ecuador: Quito or Guayaquil (American Airlines, Iberia, Air France, LAN, COPA, etc.).
The domestic flights comes from Quito or Guayaquil, Galapagos offers daily flights by TAME, ICARO and AEROGAL with daily flights to Baltra (airport) and San Cristobal Airport
From Baltra take a bus to Itabaca Canal (15 minutes) walk through this canal on a barge (10 minutes) and then take another bus to Puerto Ayora (45 minutes).
Arriving in Puerto Ayora (Santa Cruz) take a speedboat that goes on every day at the 14H00 hours to Puerto Villamil (Isabela). The route-Puerto Ayora Puerto Villamil is at 6H00 am daily.
If you choose a faster and more convenient travel to Isabela, you can take a plane flight (Cia EMETEBE) from Baltra airport to Puerto Villamil on Isabela Island (flight time 45 minutes)
